Hey everyone, You may have noticed that the server was inaccessible since last evening. This is due to some unscheduled maintenance with the networking configuration preventing the 802.3ad link aggregation. When my work was complete I neglected to test for connectivity to the internet as everything on my side seemed fine. This was a grave error and as a result the server was without access to the internet since the maintenance. I thought it was a quiet night for the server but upon closer investigation I saw the issue. A line in the configuration was missing which identified the DNS name servers to use making name resolution impossible in this case. I apologize deeply for the inconvenience. I can assure you that everything is now properly working and we can resume our regularly scheduled programming. Regards, LightSpeedTaco

Hey everyone, As you can see the holidays are in full swing here at Nobreaks! The site is decorated nicely and the holiday movies are a plenty. Usually around this time of year I add a holiday section to the library however I was a bit slow on the draw this year and I found that you, the users took over for me! Hey everyone, Now here’s a first! Today a movie will be going up called Sausage Party which I saw in theaters upon release. While hilarious I do have to warn you that this is not a film to watch with your parents or children but probably with some close friends who share your type of humor as this particular film, along with others such as Human Centipede are incredibly graphic/offensive and shows some content which is only suitable for certain ages, namely, adults. Just a quick not about that. There was great controversy in putting up this film for these reasons however I have consulted the team and we have made the decision to add it to the server and assume that the ratings are obeyed as displayed. Hello everyone, Just a quick update regarding the server health and status of the entire system. All 3 of the servers are now fully operational and stable. Transcoder Node 2 had a bad CPU in socket 1 and today I replaced a bad RAM stick so all is well in that regard. The NAS has been suffering from overheating SSD caches during peak hours of media acquisition and after large batches of requests. This is due to the speeds at which the media is being added and cached to the NAS and I have yet to find replacement fans compatible with the NAS. Speaking of the requests system, it’s now been tended to and is stable after a long time of being down. As usual, enjoy! Regards, The LightSpeed Team

Hey everyone! Now you may have noticed a spot of downtime today and that was a result of an upgrade to our internet connection which now tops out at a whopping 1 Gbps download and 50 Mbps upload making content delivery to you as fast as possible and increases the amount of people that can have HD content streamed to them without throttling down the quality to make sure enough bandwidth is available for all users. There is no doubt that the servers can handle plenty of utilization with about 60 Ghz of processing power available the connection was the bottleneck and very likely still is but for now we are at peak potential. Also a new addition to the system. Music! You can now use the requests system to request albums from your favourite artists and listen to them through Plex! So please, enjoy.
