Captains Log

While I’m still away from most of civilization I took the time to rectify the fact that I wouldn’t be able to fix problems remotely as stated previously in my last post.

Now I can administrate everything from the plex servers settings (even though I could always do that through the plex site) to Sickbeard and Sab as well as the Nas and even my router and modem.

Given I have Internet of course.

UPDATE: Clearly the one thing everything hinges on goes out. Seems to be a physical issue on our end like a power outage or a cat/assistant administrator got a hold of a certain cable. I’ll monitor the situation and hope everything returns back to normal within reasonable time.

Either way I’ll be back at my desk late evening tomorrow.

Update 2: Turns out the modem completely stopped working and needed to be reset completely as in not powered off and on but reset to factory defaults and settings restored. While I talked someone through the process of repairing it, Plex wont be available until later tonight. I will update this post once everything is back to normal.

Update 3: Everything is fixed!
