LightSpeedDL 2011-2019

I come to you today with sad news. This evening at 7:12 PM EST during routine operating system updates, node 2 aka LightSpeedDL (formerly LightSpeedTranscoder1) ceased operations due to a motherboard failure that presented during the subsequent reboot after updates were applied.

I cannot access the iDRAC due to the failure and cannot confirm with certainty of this date but I believe the manufacturing year of the server was 2011.

Although I purchased it used to begin with, it served its purpose well and was a joy to work with a learn through. Being one of my first rack mountable servers it had a certain sentimental value but all things must come to an end.

Feel free to send your e-condolences via donations if you so desire and we can begin to fund an upgrade/replacement.

As for service, it should continue as usual. Some DNS issues plagued all external and internal disruptions but they have since been resolved.

The services have been migrated from the downed node to node 1 along with Plex itself and some statistical software used to manage the media. LightSpeedDB remains unaffected.
