Whats Going On?

Hey everyone,

What a night! The persistent networking issues we’ve been experiencing lately have finally been resolved. It took a lot of work and reconfiguration however its over.

What was happening was the 802.3ad configuration for the network was constantly trying to restart the network service which would trigger Plex media server to restart as a network change had occurred which would obviously affect it.

This would explain the up and down status of the server and the interruptions in playback since the restart of the media server makes the load balancer need to re-query the other nodes on their load averages and make decisions on distributing the load which takes time itself.

Overall the performance was suffering and the interruptions were not acceptable.

I resorted to reinstalling the OS on the server and restoring certain backed up files to speed up the process.

All is well now, so please continue to enjoy and you have my apologies for the issues.

Regards,
