Return of the LightSpeedMinecraft Server!

Its baaacckkkk! By popular demand the Minecraft server specifically for Nobreaks Plex Media Server users has returned. We have 25 slots available at the current time with room to expand. Whitelists are enforced so please contact me using the usual Contact Me page if you wish to be whitelisted. Access will be limited to those who I personally know to avoid griefing as I don’t want to have to use system resources on stacked up anti-griefing mods. Hope to see you online soon! LightSpeedTaco Connect via the URL lightspeedminecraft.mcph.co, no IP or port needed! We are running the latest (1.8.8) version of the game.

Recent Downtime

Hello everyone, Last night Plex was down for an extended period of time without my knowledge and this was due to some confusion among the Multiplexor Adapter used by the system to mitigate network card failures. The main IP used by the system is MAC assigned by the router making for the wrong IP being assigned to an adapter not in the multiplexor adapter group. The issue has since been mitigated and all is well. My apologies for the downtime, usually my implemented monitoring software notifies me within seconds of failure however this one slipped through the net. I’ve since tightened monitoring up to avoid further issues. LightSpeedTaco

Introducing Automated Requests!

Hey everyone, It’s been a while since I’ve posted but things have been busy. Today I’m proud to introduce the automated request system for the Nobreaks.ca Plex Media Server. Simply click the new link at the bottom of the sidebar and you will be redirected to a page where you will be prompted to enter your username that is the same one you use to access the server itself. Once entered and accepted you’ll be allowed to search The Movie Database or the TVDB for movies and shows which when requested will automatically be sent to my systems for download and when completed it will notify me, make a log of the request which you can see and finally, send the completed content to the Plex Media Server for viewing. That simple! If a movie or tv series is already on the server it will also tell you and therefore not download the requested content. Check it out today! LightSpeedTaco Note: There is currently a bug where certain anime will give an error upon request. The issue is currently being looked into.

Backend Overhaul and Why

As a result of the discontinued support of a key piece of software utilized in keeping Nobreaks/LightSpeedPlex up to date with content and shift has been made to a new piece of software which requires some heavy reconfiguration to migrate all the data. Much of the existing data will be salvaged however large quantities of metadata will be rewritten to the media server over the next few days so please be patient if something isn’t quite correct on the server or an object you were expecting isn’t there when you figured it would usually be is. As you may be aware a LOT of data and metadata specifically is utilized to bring you the pretty front end you see so I’m sure you can understand. Sorry for any inconvenience! LightSpeedTaco
